Ottawa, Canada. The virtual conference “Hydrogen and Mines” will take place on October 6th and 7th - starting from Australia. It is intended to provide information about the latest developments on the use of hydrogen in the mining sector, but also serves as a networking opportunity for mining, hydrogen and renewable energy experts.

According to the organizer, a number of mining operators will provide updates on hydrogen developments, applications for power generation and transportation at this virtual summit. Key topics include funding and promotion of hydrogen projects for mines, developments in the Australian hydrogen market and opportunities for mining companies, case studies of renewable hydrogen in microgrids, fleet conversion and international developments of hydrogen in mining.

Announced speakers include ministers from the government of Western Australia, the managing directors of the Australian Hydrogen Council and the Australian Energy Agency ARENA, as well as numerous industry representatives, such as the German inverter manufacturer SMA Solar Technology AG, the energy company Engie, Siemens and Ballard Power Systems, service providers like KPMG and many more.

The main program of the live event runs every day from 9 a.m. to 15 p.m. (AWST, plus six hours during German summer time). However, meetings, exhibitions and presentations take place around the clock on both days. Participants can join the events via video chat in the live stream.

The cost of participation is 199 Australian dollars (120 euros), and all lectures and presentations are available for ten months.
