(Oslo / Norway) – Quantron AG and Norwegian Hydrogen AS want to work together to advance hydrogen-powered heavy-duty transport in Scandinavia. The companies have decided on a five-year collaboration. The agreement targets the countries of Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

The “Quantron QHM FCEV” truck serves as the basis. With a range of 1.500 kilometers, this is particularly suitable for long-distance transport. Norwegian Hydrogen will be the preferred supplier of green hydrogen for vehicles and will join the “Clean Transportation Alliance” initiated by the car manufacturer. The H2 filling stations would then be operated by the newly founded subsidiary Vireon AS. Quantron customers therefore benefit from the “Quantron-as-a-Service” (QaaS) offering, which ranges from vehicle procurement to infrastructure and the supply of green hydrogen.
Quantron AG, based in the Augsburg district, was founded in 2019. The company converts buses and medium and heavy commercial vehicles to electric drives or fuel cells. Customers can then lease these with an all-round service. Norwegian Hydrogen is focused on the development and expansion of hydrogen infrastructure, particularly for heavy-duty transport and the maritime sector.
