(Madrid / Spain) – The Indian project developer Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has commissioned the Spanish PV Hardware Solutions SLU to supply tracking systems with an output of 2,97 gigawatts. The trackers are intended for the Saudi Arabian model city of Neom, where the world's largest green hydrogen plant is currently being planned and built.
The Neom Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC), a joint venture owned equally by ACWA Power, Neom and Air Products, aims to produce carbon-free hydrogen exclusively using renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy, producing up to 2026 tonnes per day by the end of 600.
Trackers are produced in Saudi Arabia
All trackers for this solar project will be built at the recently upgraded PVH manufacturing facility in Jeddah, which was built in 2020 and has an annual capacity of eight gigawatts. The factory is PV Hardware's second factory after Valencia (Spain). It is intended to supply tracking systems for solar systems in Europe, Asia and Australia, among others. For the Middle East alone, PVH expects an order volume for tracking systems of seven gigawatts.

According to its own information, PVH has so far sold solar trackers with an output of more than 28 gigawatts for 230 solar power plants on five continents. In Valencia, 20 million euros are to be invested in expanding production capacity there. The company's global market share is more than ten percent, and in the Middle East it is even 35 percent. The aim is for a share of 90 percent, says Youssef Elsayed, Managing Director of PVH Middle East.
Larsen & Toubro has already recently GE Grid Solutions commissioned to build three gas-insulated 380-kilovolt T155 substations for the Saudi electrolysis plant.
