Kurt-Christoph von Knobelsdorff will take up his position as managing director and spokesman for the management at the federally owned NOW GmbH (National Organization for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology) on May 15, 2020. He stands at the side of managing director Wolfgang Axthammer, who is currently solely responsible for the GmbH.

The 52-year-old economist worked, among other things, at the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), the Association of Family Businesses, the Berlin Senate and the economics ministries of Schleswig-Holstein and the state of Brandenburg.

NOW GmbH coordinates and controls the Federal Government's National Innovation Program for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP) and the funding guidelines for electromobility and charging infrastructure (LIS) of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). Representatives from several federal ministries sit on the supervisory board, and representatives from politics, science, industry and infrastructure sit on the advisory board.
