(Vancouver / London) – The Canadian developer and manufacturer of fuel cell solutions Loop Energy Inc. supplies the British vehicle manufacturer Tevva Motors Ltd. its “T505” fuel cell system. Tevva wants to use the units with an output of 50 kilowatts for its 7,5-ton electric vehicles, which will achieve a range of 500 kilometers.

According to the company, Tevva's tender process began with an individual order in the fourth quarter of 2021 to assess and test the fuel cell system. Tevva subsequently ordered several units. Both companies are now working on concluding a more comprehensive supply agreement.

Tevva develops and produces zero-emission vehicles using technology that consists of a combination of electric drive and fuel cells to extend the range. According to the company, the vehicles are designed for freight transport and logistics in urban areas. Loop Energy builds fuel cell systems for the electrification of commercial vehicles including buses as well as light, medium and heavy trucks.
