(Guildford, UK) – Linde plc, a Dublin-based manufacturer of industrial gases, will produce hydrogen at its plant in Ontario, California. Following recent upgrades to existing facilities, the company can now supply green hydrogen that meets the requirements of the California Air Resources Board and the requirements of the latest generation of hydrogen filling stations, the company said. The proceeds can be used to fuel up to 1.600 vehicles per day.
“Linde has been producing and distributing hydrogen in Southern California for more than 50 years. By adding green hydrogen to our Ontario site, Linde will help reduce carbon emissions,” said Armando Botello, Vice President of Linde’s West Region.
According to its own information, the company has the largest liquid hydrogen capacity and distribution system in the world. In addition, Linde operates the world's first cavern for storing high-purity hydrogen and a pipeline network of around 1.000 kilometers in length to supply its customers. The group has installed over 190 hydrogen filling stations and 80 hydrogen electrolysis systems worldwide.
