(Nantes / France) – The French company Lhyfe SA has launched a digital marketplace for green hydrogen. On its online portal “Lhyfe Heroes” – launched in November 2022 as a platform for project developers – the green hydrogen producer aims to facilitate the buying and selling of the energy carrier, thereby improving cross-border access to this gas for producers and consumers in Europe.
Platform for manufacturers and users
The target groups are producers, dealers and customers, for example manufacturers of hydrogen vehicles and generators as well as consulting and research institutions. In addition, hydrogen buyers such as gas stations or logistics centers could check the delivery conditions.
Users must register on the platform and create an account. The first version of the platform is free. The marketplace already has around ten partners, including Lhyfe and other manufacturers of green hydrogen.

The tool was initially developed internally to increase the efficiency of the company, says Antoine Hamon, Director of Operations at Lhyfe. However, it was then also offered to other players in the industry: “This marketplace opens up new opportunities for us to optimize our production sites and give our customers better guarantees regarding the availability of green hydrogen.” With just a few clicks, different options can be displayed on a single map Find supply points with detailed information. “This saves time for both buyers and sellers,” says Hamon. We only work with certified producers of green hydrogen.
Security of supply around the clock
For example, buyers would have the advantage of being able to secure their H2 supply around the clock. This makes it easier to manage your orders and reduces logistics costs.
For sellers, on the other hand, it offers access to more potential sales markets, but also to areas where there are no production facilities. Privately negotiated terms and conditions would only be shared between the seller and the buyer. The prices would be set between the provider and the buyer in contracts outside the platform. “Lhyfe Heroes” itself is not involved in this, nor is it involved in the terms of the contract.
Geographically, France, Germany, Benelux, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Denmark are currently covered.
The marketplace can be found at www.lhyfe-heroes.com.
