(Herning / Denmark) – The Danish Everfuel A/S, the Scandinavian taxi company Drivr and the Japanese vehicle manufacturer Toyota want to significantly increase the number of currently 100 fuel cell taxis in Copenhagen within the next five years. According to the agreement, around 2022 Mirai vehicles will be on the road by the end of 200. The number will increase to 2025 by the end of 500.

Everfuel already supplies Drivr's taxis with hydrogen and will continue to have a monopoly on this during the five-year cooperation. According to the information, the company is now actively working on setting up additional hydrogen filling stations in the greater Copenhagen area to meet the increasing demand.

Everfuel and Toyota had already reached a similar agreement with the Scandinavian taxi company Cabonline Group Holding AB. Toyota delivers as part of this agreement Initially around 100 Mirai vehicles to build a hydrogen-powered taxi fleet in the Oslo region (Norway).
