(Oslo, Lysaker / Norway) – The Norwegian infrastructure company Implenia Norge AS has ordered two FCM2030 fuel cell modules from the Norwegian Teco 400 ASA. According to the information, the contract value is 20 million crowns (1,95 million euros).

The system with a total output of 800 kilowatts is installed in a container and is intended to supply electricity for construction sites. According to Teco, two more of these modules can optionally be ordered and installed in the same container, which would double the output to 1.600 kilowatts. The delivery period for the fuel cells is the third quarter of 2023.

Hydrogen is intended to replace diesel

Implenia currently uses diesel generators to generate electricity and wants to test the fuel cells in a project called “Hydro Pilot”. The Norwegian state-owned company Enova SF is funding this development and testing of hydrogen-powered solutions to avoid emissions on construction sites with an undisclosed amount.

Implenia Norge is a subsidiary of Implenia AG, a multinational construction company with around 9.000 employees and headquartered in Switzerland.
