(Phoenix / USA) – US fuel cell truck manufacturer Nikola Corporation will purchase hydrogen and ten "BayoTech HyFill" tank trailers from BayoTech, Inc. These trailers will transport the gaseous energy carrier to truck refueling stations in Missouri this year and to California starting in 2024. The method of hydrogen production remains unclear; only the term "low carbon" is mentioned.

The agreement also includes BayoTech purchasing up to 50 Class 8 Nikola fuel cell vehicles (from 15 tons) over the next five years. The first twelve will be delivered in 2023 and 2024. The tucks have a range of 500 miles and are combined with BayoTechs trailers to transport hydrogen. The company produces hydrogen close to customers and distributes it to consumers via high-pressure gas transport and storage systems. BayoTech also sells and rents hydrogen production systems
