(Hamburg, Germany) - “Hydrogen Week” starts nationwide on June 15th. Those interested can explore the latest developments at numerous events over nine days - or find out more about the use of the energy source for the first time.

“We want to get a broad audience excited about hydrogen technologies,” say the organizers. The practical and theoretical offerings therefore range from street festivals to expert discussions. Companies, universities and researchers open their workshops and laboratories, numerous initiatives, associations, cities and municipalities offer lectures, films and much more.

110 events in 15 federal states

This year, 70 locations in 15 federal states are involved with more than 110 events. Visitors can gain insights in a variety of ways: For example, the Saarland Hydrogen Agency is organizing an open laboratory day (June 16), in Bad Harzburg, Lower Saxony, you can visit an electrolysis plant at Fest GmbH (June 17), in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, you can have the production of green hydrogen from biogas explained (June 18), in Tübingen, you can see how hydrogen-powered trains are supplied at Deutsche Bahn (June 19/20) or in Haren, Lower Saxony, you can attend a networking event on "Energy Supply & Mobility".

The “Hydrogen Week 2024” is presented by the state of Lower Saxony. The approximately 30 well-known supporters include BMW, Cellcentric, the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, the German Hydrogen Association, H2 Mobility, the Fraunhofer ICT, the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Toyota.

“Hydrogen Week” takes place from June 15th to 23rd. The Calendar of Events on the website is continually updated.
